ABCNEWS - Sleep and sex are becoming less important to the average American according to a new study. 63 percent of Americans don´t get the recommended eight hours of sleep per night.

According to another survey commissioned by Playboy magazine, most Americans are also not getting the Playboy recommended 3 hours of sex per night either. Hef declared, "this is a national emergency."

Strangely, the lack of sleep in America seems to coincide with the overall fattening of America seen in the past twenty years. Americans are now fatter than ever. One man was willing to comment anonymously. "If you were in bed with my wife you´d have trouble sleeping too. She rolls over and I´m a pancake."

Experts recommend over the counter sleep aids or just a good club to the head with a baseball bat to help people rest easier.
