America´s favorite Russian spy, Robert Hanssen, may have been up to no good in more areas than just international espionage. The FBI has uncovered information about an odd relationship Hanssen had with an exotic dancer and is looking at the implications of the find. While apparently not sexual in nature, Hanssen reportedly brought the woman to church, possibly as part of his nefarious plot for world domination.
CNN - If Robert Hanssen had been sleeping with the young stripper, the FBI might not be so suspicious of the relationship.
But Hanssen reportedly took the woman along with his family to church, claiming he was trying to put her back on the right path. Hanssen is, obviously, the perfect role model for "doing good."
The FBI says Hanssen bought the woman a car, which makes sense with the $600k he supposedly received from Russia for US secrets. But he also is said to have bought her a plane ticket to Tokyo, which makes a lot less sense.
The woman could not be reached for comment, but CGW assumes she was meant to carry a briefcase full of microfilm to Tokyo in an attempt to open up Pacific rim markets for Hanssen´s growing business interests.
