The informants were propostioned, sexual favors were exchanged for cash, and then police went in and arrested the women. Maryland police are being scrutinized for running a sting with informants to bust massage parlors that sell sex, too. The police had been warned twice that obtaining evidence in this manner was illegal and could not be used in court.
The police are now planning an operation to identify jaywalkers by having paid informants cross against the signal. An ongoing attempt to combat people who use bad words, which utilizes SWAT snipers equipped with powerful directional microphones and laser sights to kneecap offenders, is being shut down because the screaming and bleeding were upsetting people.
