Curtis L. Powell Jr. 37 is not your average Ms. Pac-Man player. After 20 years of playing the video game it´s possible he is the best Ms. Pac-Man player around. Despite having racked up a record of over 400,000 points in the game Mr. Powell hasn´t had the time to verify his high scoring prowess with Bally/Midway the makers of the game. Mr. Powell´s busy schedule includes about five hours of Ms. Pac-Man per day in addition to the chores which his mother assigns and his private time spent in the bathroom with the dirty magazines.
The Frederick News Post - Curtis Powell has had an obsession with Ms. Pac-Man since he was 18. Now 37 he has broken the 400,000 point barrier and is looking to surpass 500,000 points at which time he states he will "retire from the game."
Mr. Powell also states,
"I´d like them to come out with a new game that I can play. I get tired of knowing where the monsters are going and how fast they move." Midway recently announced that they will be exiting the arcade game business as they say that they can´t in good conscience be responsible for creating more individuals like Mr. Powell.
CGW experts indicate that if there was a job that paid Mr. Powell based on his skill in Ms. Pac-Man he would definitely be a millionaire. Unfortunately, despite much searching no such job could be found. Until that time Mr. Powell will undoubtedly continue to live in his parent´s basement.
