Astronaut Lisa Nowak was a little too full of crap for NASA and so she was fired today. Nowak is the first astronaut the agency has ever had to fire. In addition she is the first active duty astronaut to be charged with a felony. What sort of felonies the inactive astronauts have been getting into MSNBC leaves to the imagination.
MSNBC - Lisa Nowak has been fired almost a month after being charged with excessive bad taste in fetishes for wearing a diaper while fantasizing about killing a romantic rival. Nowak will be transferred back to the Navy as NASA has no procedure for disciplining a military officer whereas the Navy will have her up shit´s creek without a paddle in no time.
Nowak´s jealous rage was over shuttle pilot Navy Cmdr. William Oefelein´s relationship with another woman. According to MSNBC, since her arrest Nowak has told police that her relationship with Oefelein was, "more than a working relationship but less than a romantic one." Nowak reportedly indicated it was enough of a relationship to wear Depends for a 900 mile trip to snuff out a rival, but probably not quite at the dropping him off at the airport stage.
Nowak will leave her pampered lifestyle at NASA and be assigned to staff work back at the Navy. Nowak is pissed about her reassignment but is relieved to get some regularity back in her life.
